A College Student in King Arthur's Court!

Now that my kids are back in school, it's my turn! I start my Fall semester on Monday, and I'm so excited. This will start the last year of my Bachelor's studies since I will graduate in May of next year. However, I am intending to go on to Grad. School online with the increased focus on literature and publishing.

One of the classes I have the pleasure to take this semester is "Arthurian Legend." This is a class that I could not pass up, even though it doesn't count towards my degree (hehe). We'll get to read both Medieval and Modern novels about King Arthur and his knights of the round table, learn how the tales began, how they have withstood time, and how they are continually progressing.

I already have all my books for the class and I've started one of them, "Le Morte d'Arthur," and it's fascinating! There are four other books we will be reading that include: "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight," "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court," and "Sword at Sunset." The professor that is teaching it is one of my favorites so I know the class will be a blast, insightful, and full of information that will stay with me for a long time to come.

I'm so excited and will most likely be sharing different aspects of the class through blogs, as well as funny information I learn along the way.
