So, I watched Hocus Pocus for the first time ever last night. I know. Everyone has seen that movie. I somehow missed it. I've been meaning to watch it, but husband prefers actual scary movies and I really don't care so we tend to watch something he chooses. Or something we can agree on like Mindhunter or Stranger Things. He works nights so I have plenty of opportunity to watch what I want. Anyway, he worked last night so, after leaving Ghouls on Garrison, I came home, settled in and decided to watch Hocus Pocus.
Honestly, I have no idea what all the fuss is about. It was okay. My favorite part was Winifred singing to the crowd. Overall, it was pretty cheesey, which I expected. Maybe if I'd watched it as a kid I'd feel differently. I was far too busy watching Nightmare Before Christmas on repeat to be bothered with anything else; coincidentally, I am watching Nightmare right now. Of course I am.
I will say, something about Hocus Pocus made me super productive. I crocheted two special order hats and did two loads of laundry. So, it was worth it just for that.
