I skipped last week's New Release blog because I was busy and just couldn't bring myself to plug another Jimmy Pat book. But, no worries, he has a book coming out today. Of course he does. I seriously think this is number twelve or thirteen this year. He's officially "written" more books this year than I've read. For more on how much I don't like James Patterson, check out last Thursdays blog. Anyway.
I read over the list of new releases and nothing really caught my eye.
I did just purchase I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer by Michelle McNamara, who, unfortunately, passed away before finishing the book. Her husband, Patton Oswalt, wrote an afterward and the text was completed by her lead researcher. It was originally published last month. I've heard nothing but great things about it. I have a weird fascination with true crime and can't wait to read this book. I heard about on the podcast, My Favorite Murder. Like I said, weird fascination.
This weather makes me want to go home and read. Also, I'm wearing an uncomfortable dress when I really want to be wearing leggings and a hoodie. So, if you're able, curl up with a book. Or turn on a podcast about murder and enjoy.
