New Release Tuesday

Because Tuesdays used to be devoted to Twin Peaks and TP is over, I've had to find a new topic. Most of the time, new books and other media is released on Tuesdays, hence New Release Tuesday. So, I picked a book at random. That's not entirely true; I totally judged the books by the covers.

The Autobiography of Gucci Mane

Gucci Mane, "one of hip-hop's most prolific and admired artists" (The New York Times) began writing his memoir while in prison. His story tells of his transformation from drug addict and incarceration to sobriety and freedom.

"In his extraordinary autobiography, the legend takes us to his roots in Alabama, the streets of East Atlanta, the trap house, and the studio where he found his voice as a peerless rapper. He reflects on his inimitable career and in the process confronts his dark past—years behind bars, the murder charge, drug addiction, career highs and lows—the making of a trap god. It is one of the greatest comeback stories in the history of music."

-Simon & Schuster

So, if you like autobiographies, redemption stories, hip hop or a combination of the three, check this book out.
