New Release Tuesday: 10/3
So, in case you hadn't noticed, we're big fans of Harry Potter. Today, you can get the illustrated edition of one of my favorites, Prisoner of Azkaban.
I own the entire series in hardback, audio, and on my Kindle. It's essential to own three versions of the series. Just in case. So, I haven't sprung for the illustrated editions because that would be excessive.
I have, however, looked longingly at the illustrated editions of Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber. And I'll do the same with Prisoner. Because they're beautiful.
For me, this is a treat yo' self item that I just haven't been able to buy. But, someday, they will be mine.
I have never actually read a Dan Brown novel. According to the Entertainment Weekly review, this is a return to form for Dan Brown. So, if you consider yourself a fan, you should be happy with this installment of the series.
There is nothing worse than waiting for the next book in a series (lookin' at you, Robert Galbraith. I NEED that next Strike novel. NEED).
Because I haven't read any of his work, I won't read this one any time soon, but I do enjoy the cover. Nothing like a good Fibonacci sequence.
Also coming out today:
Merry and Bright by Debbie Macomber - I refuse to feature a Christmas book before we've reached Halloween, but it's out.
Manhattan Beach by Jennifer Egan
And, last but not least, What the Hell Did I Just Read: a Novel of Cosmic Horror by David Wong. I know nothing about this book, but the cover is rad.
So, head to your local bookstore and buy yourself something new. You deserve it.
